Sure. Basically - are they nice to waitresses, check-out girls, taxi drivers and similar. A person who manages to be nice to you and horrible to people he considers "beneath him" is not a very nice person.
Also, if he is only rude to people of opposite sex, this can mean that he also does not have a high opinion of the female gender in general and after a while, he does not bother to conceal it in your relationship either.
thanks! (too short)

Does it still work today with the excessive use of perfumes and the pill?
Yes it does, even if they have covered themselves in purfume rather than taking a shower, it's quite clearly either heaven or hell!

I have known girls who have just stepped out of the shower & I did not like their scent, needless to say however much you had in common or loved them it was never going to last indeffinately.

Jokes aside, though, people do have to smell right to eachother. It's not only about visual stuff. Fatmanfilms nailed it.

Many of my dating biases have been challenged over time, from "I never" to "well, but everything else rocks".
What's still left is that I don't date smokers, drug abusers and alcoholics.

Smell probably has a great deal to do with that!

I would never date a man who's not strong enough to lift me.

Smokers are a complete no-no, as well as men who are rude to their perceived inferiors. Also a no to men who spend longer than me to get ready for anything and who visibly pluck their eyebrows. Must like cats but not in a creepy way.

Any here's my irrational one - I can't stand black shoes worn with jeans.

Tall enough, no problems with food, a sense of humour, speaks 3 languages, not too animal friendly, and a non smoker!
Damn, are you telling me that my awesome cats will cripple my chances at romance? Or is it the extra language?

Almost black slim (but not skinny!) jeans with a nice shoe can be ok in some cases. I'm generally not fond of black stuff.

I don't date vegetarians, vegans, French speakers, workaholics, dog-haters, the geographically dyslexic, Francophones, people shorter than 175cm, tobacco users, or French people.
I am not sure, but I think you may have something against French? so no chance to be one of your date then...

if you change your mind now, you'll loose all opportunities as you'll appear as the guy who doesn't know what he wants.

Racist.

What does specific style of shoes have to do with dating? Heheh. Though, true, there is this concept of f-me-boots that apparently help. It's fun for me to gig in them, but I don't think they would feature in dating prerequisites..oder?

the boots make you look like you're going for fishing....but maybe it's really how you see dating

Hmm, naw..With f-me-boots, lower the heels and wear decent clothes, and contributed fishing factor diminishes. I don't really know, for shows it's great, otherwise not so practical, but who cares..

My point was why talk about dating bias linked to clothes-shoes in general..I think personal hygiene is more important, my bigger pet peeve would be a hair cut or excessive cologne, but that's all temporary, innit..

I went out once with a person who thought he was a vampire, so I can safely say, I'd discriminate againts vampires, to be honest..Gave it a pretty decent shot and it is odd.

I don't think that I've ever dated a non-smoker! (even though I'm a non-smoker)

Come to think of it, I don't think that I know any women (other than my sisters) who don't smoke.

, I know within 30 seconds of meeting someone if I am going to sleep with them, it's just a matter of nature taking it's course!

For a relationship to work for more than 7 years I think smell is the most important ingreediant.
You are completely correct.
It has even been found that people without a sense of smell have a lot of difficulty falling in love.

They usually feel the same way, in 30 seconds as well!
