We got tickets for the olympics(hurray!!) , now looking to book accommodation...Do you have any B&B/self-catering recommendations around London....thanks.

Beware of Travellodge - cheap but often full of rowdy drunks at weekends... don't believe their advertisements about getting a good night's sleep... not at the weekends anyway.... unless you find one miles away from any nightlife.

Apparently (according to a friend of mine in London) decent accomodation is going to be oversubscribed and overpriced during the Olympics... many hotel's are ramping their prices up during this period, so unless you're going to spend a wad maybe better to look to travel in/out on a main rail link ? - maybe from somewhere in Surrey or Hampshire, etc.

Yes I see that everything is overpriced during that time...hmm..
