Need book recommendations, celtic mythology

Hi, i just finished a rather crappy book, that was written abut Celtic clanss, druids, fairies and their magic. And now i am quite intrigued, and would love to read something better written, and without the romance, kidnapping heroin, loving in love with forbidden heroin ect.ect bit.
Any recommendations?
Thanks!

Re: Need book recommendations, celtic mythology

Stephen Lawhead's books Taliesin, Merlin, Arthur are well-researched and well written. Bernhard Cornwell's books less so, but quite fun. Lawhead also wrote a series based on the interaction between the other world and ours - iirc it's called The Song of Albion.

Lawhead is a Christian, and that shows - but nonetheless good reads. My mother is anti-Christian and still loves the book!
