Monday's Child

Mondays child is fair of face,
Tuesdays child is full of grace,
Wednesdays child is full of woe,
Thursdays child has far to go,
Fridays child is loving and giving,
Saturdays child works hard for his living,
And the child that is born on the Sabbath day
Is bonny and blithe, and good and gay

ok.. so what day of the week were you born on?

Re: Monday's Child

As coincidence would have it, I was fair of face (and still am).

Thankfully I wasn't a day earlier.

Re: Monday's Child

Far to go... still going there!

Unfortunately since 2001 everyone remembers my birthday for all the wrong reasons... September 11th is not a date anyone is likely to forget.

Re: Monday's Child

I'm 385 years old and as far away from home as I care to be!

So a Thursday child, and surprised to discover that Grynch is older that I'd thought he was.

whenever I hear this ( all us old timers say it don't we ? ) I think of an old dear who was in the care home my mum in law was -- she was bright as a spark, could converse on any topic and still enjoyed her daily sherries.. and was 104 yrs old when last we saw her.

when we asked what it was like to be 104 she replied.. "oh it's ok, but I only feel like 70 in my head"

Bless.
