I've been playing at Urban Terror since for one year. It's a free FPS.

I dunno, maybe I'm just too old for this stuff, but I've just started playing the original Borderlands (it's only been available on mac for a couple of months) and by god it's difficult. It makes CoD and Half Life 2 look like a fluffy bunny shoot.
I'm sure I'm getting it wrong, but could any Borderlands players explain why on earth it takes 15 mins of tactical running around, and god knows how many critical hits just to drop one level 14 psycho badass.

The game definitely has a style to it--one has to constantly upgrade Armour and weapons for the best chances and use your perks. Maybe turn down the skill level. I played it though twice, but left it for a half year before doing the DLC add-ons, I had no chance anymore, so I gave up on them.

I've just reached Sledge's safe house, and it's here that bar has risen to the point that playing it is more like hard work than fun. It also seems that every bit of juicy kit that I come across I'm locked out of using because I'm not not leveled up enough. | Quote: | | | | | i found borderlands very very boring | | | | | It does lack that plot driven urgency to progress which kept me glued to the monitor in games such as half life, bioshock and CoD3, nevertheless I am determined. Hell, I didn't let Manic Miner or Doom beat me, I was also a Wip3out god back in the days when I actually had reactions

Personally I'm a Nvidia fanboy---was a big fan of Physx before, and now just would stay for brand loyalty--thinking of going all the way to the 680gtx for skyrim mods, Crysis 3 and Farcry 3.

I have 2 GTX 480 in SLI at the moment.
One has Zotac fan.
Thinking about selling them (both or one), if anybody interested.

after doing a wipe and full reload of windows etc (and a new 24" screen)
my FPS has improved...
crysis 2 on hardcore setting is 54-60fps.
what other graphic intensive games are out there?

I would almost say that Crysis 1 was more graphically intense--they went a bit overboard so they dumbed it down for #2 (and programmed a lot more intelligently). ArkhamCity does go intense as well, but unfortunately only with Nvidia cards. Check out Metro 2033 as well.

Thread Resurrection!
So, who has Fallout 4 up and running?
It's still downloading at my place, and in my waiting, I ventured over to a 'can-I-run-it' website just to find out my gaming behemoth is below min specs.
Albeit the machine was built to max out skyrim on a budget, but still disappointed.
Apparently 6 gigs ram won't cut it for FO4 (cheap upgrade though), and my 760 gtx will only fulfill the minimum specs. Not sure if I want to splurge on a new GPU though.
Who's running it on what at the moment?
