Twitterati needed

How are you power-users actually using Twitter?

Found some people tweeting "I am at such and such place in Lugano" (understandable use if you're looking for your buddies or maybe the rest of your travel group), others like "I am at the beach in...." or "In the mountains in Switzerland". I don't (yet) grasp the meaning of tweeting these messages, which probably are also be expensive if you're digiting from your mobile device and paying roaming fees....

And the whole thing about Twitter and trends, etc, etc?
The other night I had a look at the various trending topics - it was stupidly insane, really.... like some sort of juvenile chatroom

Not what I had imagined. I suppose one is upposed to set up search filters, etc... now I have some newspaper feeds and some themes I follow. Other uses?

Would it make sense for EF to integrate some sort of twitter feed that publishes the most recent posts, for example?

Ciao

Paul

I'm (for once) with Cameron on this: too many tweets makes a twit...

Lazy and obvious I'm afraid guys...

As Abraham Lincoln once said "I'm sorry I wrote such a long letter - I didn't have time to write a short one". As (in my opinion) demonstrated by Assassin, Adrianlondon and Mirfield on a daily basis, being concise does not at all mean a lack of quality and can actually be more impactful than - for example - a recently displaced profilic poster.

Twitter is another communication media that can be good, can be bad. If you follow the worldwide trends, it will be dominated by US teens and full of cr@p, but there are some very smart and eloquent people out there who send interesting posts and links

Re: Twitterati needed

A very good use for Twitter that doesn't involve tweeting if you do not like that mode of communication is just using it as a fake RSS feed for breaking news if you like that sort of thing. Just "follow" all your favorite news outlets. Much more ergonomic on a phone than a RSS reader.
