First off, you might want to explain what the NHS is (I'm a Brit so I know, but many people here will not). You might also want to start off with your views, and why you are asking the question.

Personally, I have had nothing but fantastic experiences with NHS dentists.

You were I suppose, trained by the NHS - but have worked all your adult life abroad, in Germany and Mallorca and now here. Do you have any idea of what NHS dentistry is like CURRENTLY in the UK? One of my best friend is an NHS orthodondist, totally dedicated to her work (qualified 69) - and so very good at it. She could make a fortune privately, but CHOOSES to do mainly NHS work.
