I just had our hauswarten investigate my singing

I was hanging out (yet) another load of washing in the laundry room and singing along to Mandaley by Mr Williams in my own little Robbie fueled world when I got a tap on the shoulder. I nearly voided my bladder. He said that someone had reported an animal in pain! I am not sure whether to be pleased that that one of my fellow residents is concerned with animal welfare or to be cross that someone thinks I can't sing.
I am astonished that he has time to come checking on me and my lack of vocal ability

Try singing something with a melody. That would be better all round.

ROFLMAOOOOOOOOOOOOO

but look at it from the bright side, should you for example fall down the stairs and twist your ankle, then you can be assured that someone will indeed come to help you!

I also use my MP3 to listen to and sing along to music when cleaning the stairs, but i really hope my voice is drowned out by the hum of the hoover

Please pause a moment here to reflect on your very "swiss" moment. Applying rational logical thinking to avert risk.

If I fell down the stairs and twisted my ankle it will be a strange animal indeed the Hauswart heard cursing in English...

I suppose it could have been worse, I had just had Frankie goes to Hollywood performing Relax on - all those oooh and ahhhs would have shocked him so badly he'd have had to put some trousers on.
DaveA, I am astonished that you consider the Robster non melodius, he is a demi god (or were you insinuating I AM tuneless?)

Sounds like a cool Hauswart. Shame on you, singing to Robbie Williams... what's wrong with Sinatra?

Your hauswart doesn't wear an old cardy and go by the name Rigsby, by any chance?

...or even Dinah Washington or Billie Holiday, that will sort your lungs out...

Robbie Williams has (co)written one good song IMO, and we will no doubt hear it a lot over Christmas.

Re: I just had our hauswarten investigate my singing

Look, while you all bring my musical taste into question, I should point out that I could have had Nina Simone or Sinatra or Deano or many others (including T.Rex) that I had been listening to today, the iPod is capable of storing many songs. I have many layers (like an onion) and Robbie helps me though the more mundane of my chores. I hate housework and anything that helps has got to be OK.

I think you should take this opportunity to find out what genera of music he likes. My next suggestion would be something from the Rocky Horror Picture Show. . . ."Sweet Transvestite" is always a crowd pleaser

Yes, but you admitted to Robbie Williams, it is Friday afternoon, people are looking for any form of entertainment they can find until they can get that first cold beer down their throats. I think that you are being totally unreasonable expecting any form of mercy under these circumstances.

1) I just had my first two cold beers at lunch. Mmmm.

2) I happen to think that Robbie has actually done some decent stuff. The whole Escapology album was actually pretty good imo

Thank you Terry, I will now admit a sneaking liking of Funboy three, but I preferred you in the Specials.
By the way, I was the person in Flip who asked you for your autograph all those years ago. How uncool was that? in my defence I was only 14 or so and adored your sort of mushroomy hairstyle

I remember you very well

I preferred Fun Boy Three as well, The Specials was OK but we'd kind of run our course. I'm particularly proud of "Farmyard Connection".

You'll also be pleased to know that (according to those present on Wednesday at Bar Rossi) my mushroomy hairstyle is coming back, in a big way...

I used to listen to "the wall" as I cleaned, but then I stopped. I still listen and sing to pink floyd, I just don't do housework!
