Silent London

We were all told a long time ago that hotels in London would be full during the Olympics. I thought I'd test to see if I could get a room in London from 3.8 - 8.8.
Result, at first attempt - no problem at the hotel near Russell Square which is my usual haunt.

Re: Silent London

And because you got a room in that particular hotel it means London is quiet aka silent?

It looks like a title from The Local.

Well, the newspapers are full of reports and photo's this morning showing an empty London and we were warned that there would be no hotels available during the olympics.

Re: Silent London

Interestingly the flights to the capital are also reasonable. I can jet to London this weekend for 167.
