Dinosaurs- I've found them, and you can have them too! For "Free"

No.... I'm not talking about the forum veterans.

Migros has started a new promotion. http://www.migros.ch/de
With every 20chf spent, you get a little wooden skeleton to build.

There are of course a lot to collect.

But you know what, I really like this new marketing ploy.
Not enough to spend more than I have to, mind...

Do you have them all yet?

The kids (of all ages(!!))love them!

Beware: some of the packets only have 1/2 of 1/4 skeleton parts. So you have to collect the right ones, and keep the remains of the first in a safe place. And explain to your littl'un that this dinosaur doesn't have a head, that it's in another packet - that we haven't got yet but will do our best to try and get next time in Migros....

The somebody who developed this collection does not have children!

They are DEFINITELY NOT FREE I can assure you.

And all end up in the bin a few months later - an ecological stupidity. 1000s of kids and their mothers manipulated to use Migros and buy more than then need to get the b*****Y things- to the day.

Then you need the storage box, the album, the giant dinosaur, etc, etc, etc,....

Don't do it! My kids weren't impressed at all - they are tiny to compared to the ones we get from the 2 dollar shop back home.

I send my other half into Migros because it is on the way home from work otherwise I go twice as far out of my way to go to Coop. Much better meat imo and less cleaning products, snacks, toiletries, cereals and drinks isles to skip through.

That's just the collector's box - not the actual packets or the book or other products. Don't panic!

Great, I was looking for another reason to get nagged and hectored by a 5 year old while I am trying to concentrate on shopping.

Migros, I hate you.

Nope he probably has, he knows that kids will beg their parents to shop at Migros so they can collect all of the dinosaurs. Marketing genius, parenting nightmare.

But when the promotion is over and the kids are sick of their little wooden creations at least you can take them to the nearest grill spot and have a ceremonial burning session.
Im looking forward to that.

I wont call them genius, they know what they are doing, the simple fact is that they don't have a minimum of ethical commercial behave in this topic, is pure and simple manipulation!

As if stepping on Legos with bare feet was not painful enough.

Now I must contend with spiky little partially-assembled wooden dinosaur skeletons that wait atop the identically-hued parquet floor like sharp little wooden chameleons? Uggh.

Re: Dinosaurs- I've found them, and you can have them too! For "Free"

My 8 year old just asked to collect them, although I think she is under the impression they are stickers - are there stickers as well? She is justifying it as they are learning about dinosaurs in school...

If migros looked at my shopping habits, they will see they revolve around these gimmicks - so either they are genius for doing them, or I avoid it like the plague the rest of the time after being "forced" to shop there during the promotions!

Well I am a sucker for these promotions, bought some stuff this morning, got 2 freebies and let my son open them up at lunchtime. Luckily we got 2 that went together. They are smaller than I thought and words of warning, don't let your kids punch out all the pieces first, then try and put it together Took me some time to put the pieces back in the right place to follow the directions.

And they do come with stickers, that go with the 5 franc sticker book!

Walk past Migros and shop in France. Split the huge savings, cash, with your kids.
