What software to use for capturing desktop?

Hey could some one suggest me some software for videocap if know? Thanks much!

I've used Screenflow in the past and in general I was pleased. I made a series of video tutorials using screen capture footage, transitions, and other visual elements and it was quite powerful for a non-editor

If using Linux Mint, the Take A Screenshot program is free, which I use extensively on EF.

As for video and audio, I use recordmydesktop.

Please check http://alternativeto.net/software/camtasia-studio/. There are many free and opensource tools; pick one...
