Italian supermarket identification

In 2009 we stumbled across a supermarket with an amazing deli, located somewhere between Venice and the St Gottard pass. We think it was near Verona perhaps.
Anyway, we would like to know where it was and was hoping some enlightened being might recognise it.

The last time I was in Verona, was in 1970 ..... my memory's not that good.
[although I do remember having to buy Fiocchi for breakfast]

Re: Italian supermarket identification

It is an iPer. Look at www.iper.it and locate the store.

There are lots in Italy. Your closest one to Switzerland is probably near Varese.

Re: Italian supermarket identification

I was also going to say it's the Iper. There is one off the highway in Verona. Look for the big wavey I logo.

Re: Italian supermarket identification

It look like the one near my parents on the Varese motorway, near Busto Arsizio. It is Iper and the one I am talking about is at Solbiate Olona.

Re: Italian supermarket identification

Thanks for the replies good people. We were hoping there was one near Geneva but it seems there isn't an Iper in either Aosta or Piedmont.

Closest appears to be in Lombardy which is a bummer.

they are open every Sunday bar religious holidays now.

11.11 means little to the Italians btw. French and Brits, mainly.
