Re: Is DB stirring the pot?

The guy is down with flu, bored like hell and in need of publicity for his blog. Of course he's stirring shit, and he likes it. Like many, many other posters here and all over the internet.

If you really do mind it, ignoring him is the worse punishment.

That's what's called morbid curiosity. Difficult to not succumb to it in my experience.

Re: Is DB stirring the pot?

Are mods allowed to say that EFers are full of shit? What would happen if the roles were reversed?

Would we be accused of being ungrateful?

Re: Is DB stirring the pot?

DB is funny and eloquent, slightly full of his own self-importance sometimes, but worth a read once in a while.

Yes, and if we all had the same opinions and attitudes what would be the point of a forum

Re: Is DB stirring the pot?

The trouble is that if you stir a pot full of vegan stuff you just end up with an unappetising sloppy mess.

A kafir is a non-muslim.

I'm a kafir. You are a kafir. I fail to see how that's insulting, since neither of us is South African and both of us are non-muslims.
I am married to a South-African and have many many relatives there. When my mother-in-law used the word, you knew it was the worst insult possible, in her vocabulary, and it had nothing to do with religion, I can tell you.

I sympathise - you are on the main ship around a small island- you rise to be one of the first officers- then want to take over as Captain, but you are turned down and have a huge barney with said Captain and senior crew. So you get your own ship, and it does good business for a while, then starts to go round and round and lisping badly. You can't really re-join ship numero uno as you've blown it there - so that rather leaves you up the creek without a paddle, which is not so nice.

Oooops I did say I would ignore, so I will, from now on. I like it on ship numero uno Over and out.

Off-topic, but why do people need publicity for a blog? Unless they get off on the number of readers?

Ummmm.... Because they get off on the number of readers?

DB likes the attention. He can deny it, but I believe it to be the truth...

I thought it was the whole point of having a blog? People read you, your head swells until it gets impossible to pass through a door, and you think you're the king of the world?

A bit like all the people who live for their ginormous amount of friends on FB or followers on twitter?

If you actually need to be told that Bloggers like an increasing amount of people to read their Blogs then you must be all kinds of stu... ahem, silly.

Yes, but even though kaffir is derived from the Arabic term kafir, they mean completely different things nowadays. DB is fully aware of this, and you should know better than to rise to the bait.
