Maybe your problem is that you don't know what moderation is? Extremes on either side are not good.

Re: President shows off trim look after switching to vegan

True believers just have to preach. Not sure why OP keeps trying to convert the masses, but I really wish he'd stop.

I think, by now, everyone and their dog know that OP is a devout vegan who really, really thinks that it's the best thing ever for everything at all.

Which is fine, and he's welcome to it, but I haven't seen anyone else starting food threads (or any other type of thread) to try to convert people to their way of thinking. There are already vegan threads out there, why not update them rather than threadbomb more headlines touting your beliefs?

It's getting really, really old - fast.

He's definitely very thin, but both images looked shopped to me, certainly the face. Also seems like a sudden loss- not over two years- as his suit doesn't seem to fit correctly. I vote for recent bad case of something+ photoshop= Daily Mail scoop.

Went Vegan for health reasons 5 years ago and oil-free whole-food based a little over a year ago, once having watched the research in the ''Forks Over Knives" documentary.

What I don't understand is why after being a vegan for 2 years Bill Clinton is corpse-thin, and after 5 years you are still packing a belly.

If you bother to read the postings I don"t pack a belly normally just when on holidays and getting fed to worry stuff and drinking way too much wine and beer

Mr Clinton being thin could be the fact that he has had to work his ass off these last few month to get the Kenyan re-elected

The only reason Bill lost weight is because he began to consume less calories than he expended in a day. Being a meat eater or a vegan has nothing to do with that simple formula. He could have gone on a healthy diet that included lean meat and it would have had the same effect, and he probably wouldn't look so unhealthy to boot.

The "problem" is that we all have the internet and we all read news sites and pick the stuff that we are interested in. Then we come here to talk mostly about stuff happening in Switzerland. If we wanted to read vegan stuff all day every day we would go to a vegan site.

Maybe you could spend a bit of time posting something other than vegan stuff since this is not a forum about veganism.

Just a thought.

He had heart problems and being a former president he had top notch information about foods that the average Joe is not privy too.

He weight up all his options and decide that Vegan was best for him to survive long-term.

Apparently his daughter is a raw food vegan and hounded him until he followed her lead. She wanted him to lose weight so he would look good for her wedding. Or at least that's what the media reported.

Really? Now there is secret vegan information out there? Like a secret society a la Free Masonry? It has nothing to do with the fact that her daughter is a raw food vegan and hounded him til he couldn't take it any more? I think his family had more influence on his choice then some secret health information he might be privy too as a former president.

Re: President shows off trim look after switching to vegan

Wasn't it in the news a while back that he has cancer? I don't know if that's the kind of weight loss regimen I want to join but it's not the vegan diet that has him looking so gaunt and pale.

And vegan folks die young, too. Look at McCartney's wife Linda who was all about being vegetarian and even started her own line of ready-made meals. She died young of breast cancer.

Diet can't overcome genes.

To my eye it's becoming easy to see now that for you, becoming vegan and making it the focus of your lifestyle has resulted in it being your psychological crutch. Hence why you defend and promote it so fervently, and why the majority of your responses to questions are logically weak and supported by little evidence.

In fact i'd say from your short time on this forum you have done the cause of being Vegan very little favours, and would even go so far as to say you single-handedly give it bad press through being so repetitive and arrogant with your posts. I think when you sit down and actually realise the impression you are giving people, then it may be a bit of a sobering thought for you, given that your intentions were originally surely the opposite.

Then maybe consider hiring someone else to do the marketing.

Why would I do that we are doing very well

Plus my business is not for the Swiss but for the international market I doubt it very much many on this forum could afford my monthly rates.

I do not carry on about stupid and lame issues only what I believe in if others have different beliefs great they are entitle to their opinions but so and I.
For hundreds of years people really believed to world was flat - guess what the greater majority was wrong

So if this forum has no impact on your business then why are you going to such effort (and failing) to promote yourself on it?

The very fact you say that and even use such a comparison at the end just pretty much highlights what I said above.

I am not in favour of extreme diets or other, but I think he looks much better. If your arteries are furred up, something has to be done, and he did it.
