Travelling for Christmas- how are you doing?

Pheeew, I am so relieved. Our eldest, OH and grand-children finally got to Northern Ireland safely after a horrendous ferry crossing from Holyhead.

Where are you going and how are you doing? Take care, be safe and have a wonderful time. We are staying put! The first time ever on our own for Christmas - but that is fine. Seeing one daughter in Jan and the other and grand-children for Feb half-term.

Back home in the great white north and things are going well, though it has been quite a shock adjusting to the temperature difference and being with family all day again. On Christmas eve we'll be on the highway for 7 hours so I'm hoping that the roads will be clear and ice-free!

Re: Travelling for Christmas- how are you doing?

Just arrived in London (by car). Left Basel at midnight and drove overnight... €45 in tolls but otherwise pretty smooth journey.

Have a great Xmas all

Travel went well yesterday... Three flights and I'm in the mountains to ski.... :-). Yeah, I know, could have stayed in Switzerland of that, but lots of friends here in US after 10 years at the same place

I am in the UK at present and due to leave for CH after Christmas but I have just had a call from the environment agency and been placed on high risk for flooding so not sure if I will be going anywhere

Re: Travelling for Christmas- how are you doing?

I am flying to Frankfurt tomorrow, where we will spend Christmas with friends, before spending a couple of days in Karlsruhe with other friends. We will then return to Frankfurt for new year's eve, before zipping down to Zurich for a couple of days. I will be away from sunny Malta for two whole weeks ... how will I cope?

It is that time of the year again. Who will be traveling during the holiday period?
