Sabine Schmitz is, or was, already on the german version of top gear
Wouldn't necessarily stop her doing a UK one as well. Depends what the two filming schedules would be like.

Not even the V B-H of ~15 years ago?

Nope, I have an irrational dislike of her, and everything about her

her always banging on about being a racing driver (yet having never won a single race) pisses me off no end

To be fair, she does a very competent job of reviewing cars and she would definitely whip the 3 TG blokes on a race track.

Re: Top Gear: 2013

Maybe Bruce Forsyth could take over from JC? He's no longer doing Strictly Come Dancing, so he might be just the chap some of you and the BBC are looking for?

If all else fails, JC's buddy David Cameron, could convene an emergency COBRA meeting, and sort the whole thing out.

The soundbites from JC should he be sacked might be quite forthright. I can't imagine him saying anything nice about the Director - his distain for the way the BBC is run is well documented.

WGAF what Clarkson says, or thinks.

He's just a loud-mouthed, arrogant troglodyte.

What will it take to get him sacked? Beating somebody about the head with a baseball bat?

Nobody is indispensable.

His silly banter wears thin pretty quickly.

Oh dear, now there's a petition urging the Beeb to sign up Alan Partridge (Steve Coogan) to replace Clarkson. From worse to even more worse.

Here's an interview with the Spanish waiter at the centre of this whole incident and in it he explains what really happened.

Re: Top Gear: 2013

In related news, Hammond and May refused to film without Clarkson.

Contracts ending in 10 days, so it's going to be fun watching where they will end up.

What saddens me the most is that Top Gear is the one entity that could convince Ferrari, McLaren, and Porsche to have a televised grouping of their hypercars, but now what?

'The Stig' turned up - standing on top of a tank - at BBC Broadcasting House this lunchtime with a petition to reinstate Jeremy Clarkson:

Frankly I'm with Owen Jones of the Guardian.

http://www.theguardian.com/commentis...d-top-gear-bbc

If he isn't sacked now then the Beeb's rep is down the drain. Russell Brand sacked, Jonathan Ross sacked, now it's idiot Clarkson's turn. Maybe then he'll learn to keep his big, flapping trap of a mouth shut.

Lol. Owen Jones, like every other Guardian writer, is just jealous because Clarkson reaches an audience he could only dream of. What's more, people take Clarkson's views on board.

But I suppose if he honestly thinks that Angela Merkel is "the most monstrous western European leader of this generation" then people won't listen to his opinions, because he's obviously a twat.

Oh, come on! Yes, I don't like the guy, but if I was an employer and any employee went around throwing punches and then slagged me off in front of an audience I'd sack them. Obviously, you see nothing wrong with his behaviour.
