Dangerous foods consumed here?

In a Newsletter - thedailyalternative.com - reveals this:

McDonald’s

"You’re probably aware of the scary qualities of this so-called food, the Chicken McNugget. Just two of the frightening ingredients include the anti-foaming agent made of silicone, dimethylpolysiloxane and butylhydroquinone, a fat preservative used to stabilize certain explosive compounds and to make varnishes and lacquers.

McDonald’s salads, marketed as a healthy alternative have been found to contain a chemical not legal to use in cat food, propylene glycol. It’s also used as a killing agent for captured ground beetles."

also -

"The ill effects of trans fats, the synthetic components of fatty acids created during the production of margarine and cooking oils, have long been feared. Consuming them can lead to coronary heart disease, worsen the quality of breast milk in lactating mothers and set the stage for various aggressive cancers. Most french fries are high in trans fat, especially McDonald’s french fries, which have been recently found to contain a 33 percent higher trans fat content than previously reported. Fried chicken is also often a source of these “bad fats.” Donuts are the worst in this area; they are composed of 35 to 40 percent trans fat.

A common factor linking french fries, fried chicken and donuts is the process of deep frying, which produces acrylamides. Acrylamides have been shown to cause cancer in lab animals, and specifically possess a strong link to prostate cancer. A study conducted at the Hutchinson Center revealed that men who ate deep-fried foods at least once a week increased their prostate cancer risk by 30 to 37 percent. The toxic effects of acrylamides are enhanced with a longer frying time and the re-use of oil.

It remains to be seen whether the disturbing connections being found every day between foods such as french fries, fried chicken and donuts may cause Americans to finally re-examine the risks involved in indulging in these beloved cancer-causing snacks. Hopefully, they will start to seem less and less like “comfort foods,” and we will turn towards healthier options."

Re: Dangerous foods consumed here?

The most dangerous food I eat is oysters - I find that the little beggars resent being opened, and I usually end up with a few cuts on my hands.

I understand that the coffee in MacDonalds contains high levels of dihydrogen monoxide, and a chemical that is synthesized artificially from dimethylurea and malonic acid.

In other news, lemons in this country are all contaminated with E330 - hydroxypropane-tricarboxylic acid!

Acrylamides? 2002 just called they asked if the new iPhone is any good. They also mention that 30%-40% percent of the daily acrylamide consumtption comes from coffee.

Also a study shows a high content of theobromine in chocolate. Animal studies (dogs) have shown a high toxicity and fatality.

Furthermore other studies have found that nearly 100% of all drowning cases can be contributed to the chemical dihydrogenmonoxide. It the main component of sulphuric acid solutions! It is also used inside the reactor of most western nuclear power plants. High concentration of it has been found in the milk of breastfeeding mothers which live in the vicinity of nuclear power plants.

It is also found in high concentrations in beer, wine and whisky, and most people caught driving while under influence were found to have drunk large quantities of it. However, the government, firmly in the hands of lobbying organisations, refuses to take any action.

Just want to add: Researcher (Dr. S. Curvy et al) have shown in animal studies (using dogs, cats, and goats) that there is no benefit to add hydroxypropane-tricarboxylic acid to any food or eating food that naturally have it in high quantity.

Yes, and we know that too much dihydrogen monoxide can prevent breathing, consuming it rapidly can cause toxicity effects, and consuming in normal quantities can cause side effects, such as bloating, fullness, and/or urination... We should ban that, too!

Plus all drug addicts and alcohols have previously drunk dihydrogenmonoxide. And even a very high proportion of shopoholics and gambioholics have taken it too.

Yeah well. At least there's no horse in it...

... probably isn't any chicken either, but that's another point entirely...

Other foods and things that are contaminated:

Any green leaved vegetables - E140
Bell peppers - E101
Curries - E100
Fish n chips (in UK anyway) - E260
You (after exercise) - E270
Citrus fruits - E300
Sushi - E400

The list goes on and on... sometimes the level of ignorance is stunning...
