Bear attacks plane. Repaired with duct tape. Plane flys home again!

Best Duct Tape Story Ever

During a private fly-in fishing excursion into the Alaskan wilderness,

The chartered pilot and fishermen left a cooler with bait in the Plane.

A bear smelled it. This is what it did to the plane.

The pilot used his radio and had another pilot
Bring him two new tires, three cases of duct tape,
And a supply of sheet plastic. He then patched
The plane together, and........ FLEW IT HOME!

Duct tape. Never leave home without it...

The images look too complicated for a Photoshop fix to me!

But then old fashioned planes and gliders were not built any stronger, just canvas stretched over a wooden frame and then painted.

I am thinking now that this might well be a fake story, the only mention of this incident is a blog, by someone who heard about it from the postman...

It is not duct tape, it is speed tape. Used it the aviation industry for temporary repairs to no pressurised areas of an aircraft. I once saw a hole in a Sinapore airlines 777 engine cowling speed taped up to get it back to SIN. Engineers best friend. Though I've never seen it used to that extent!!!
