Do share your knowledge/experience of UBUNTU with me and enlighten me with your quote please.
I don't have any experience with UBUNTU other than viewing the website and links you provided, and I think it is a crock.

I don't think that the solution to your personal fears/issues/problems experienced in the UK (pot-smoking, cursing people, "criminal" fraudster neighbors, and the lack of support/direction from the government, from what I am able to discern from your posts) and the "special needs" of your kids is going to be found in some sort of fairytale Shangri-la where everyone owns everything equally, there is no classroom education, everyone works five hours a day and there is no legal tender, among other things.

That's all.

Re: Special Needs? Tired of the 'system'? UBUNTU

we are all special needs. and yes i love the idea of less is more but my family in central america aren't partying when their house gets swept up by the river.

and if you think that spreading the word about this is hard in switzerland, imagine trying to tell people who are really struggling day to day that they should be happy to have less! it's a nice idea, but only one that is celebrated by those who have more*.

*damn. i am in a really righteous mood today!*

My husband and I have a growing realisation of the illusion of the world that has been painted for us, and know it is neither healthy nor right.
Of course Michael Tellinger's version of reality will be right on perfect.

He seems very left-brained, let's just say that.

Well, I much prefer that to the illusion of the world that has been painted by my late father in law (I never knew that there were so many shades of black before seeing some of his work, or that it takes ten years to paint a painting with 2cm thick oil paint).

Thanks Lou - maybe you should speak with my Kindergarten teacher, otherwise she has an issue with my son then! But she thinks he is special needs, and so do I. We are making the specialist appointment. Homeschooling is apparently frowned upon here in CH.
It would be interesting to know the specific special needs (unless you find that too intrusive, in which case a high level description of the range would be good). You have mentioned in previous posts "Aspergers" and "a need to ask 'why'".

Have you had a diagnosis for the Aspergers? Regarding the need to ask 'why', I agree with Lou that this isn't really anything unusual. Kids challenge all the time. It's the ones that don't challenge that we should take a closer look at.

It's hard to figure out how the Ubuntu fits in without more of a background of how you came to realise this kind of education would fit with this so far unknown set of special needs.

Be careful - you are supposed to be a moderator, not pointing fun.
With a name like we_are_all_lied_to and posting only about this Seth Efriken guy promoting his alternative philosophy you surely didn't expect _not_ to be made fun of, did you?

I came here for help about homeschooling, and this is what I end up with. Thanks for the tomfoolery, only. And you moved my thread, which was important as it was a lead from homeschooling.
There's nothing in this thread about homeschooling - the other one was left alone. If you post off-topic material in the wrong forum expect it to be moved. Read the posting rules again if you're not sure what is on- and what is off-topic.

I see why you have many groans now.
Be thankful I moved the thread to an area where you can't be groaned, if they're important to you.

I have chosen a life as natural as possible without the need for the UBUNTU team although their ideas are so similar to mine.

Whatever you choose for your lives, I wish you safe well and happy.

My son has been diagnosed as Autistic, and we have been homeschooling all this time since early 2015.
