Re: What is flirting?????????

Whilst searching for other topics, I stumbled upon this in Wikipedia. The searched topic is basically "Body Language". BTW, here you may find some good reference material to look into.

Here is the quote from Wikipedia (in blue):

Female Interest and Body Language
Women commonly display interest in men via sexual cues. These serve to entice men to approach them. Some of the cues to signal female interest include: the parade, echoing and mirroring, room encompassing glance, pointing, leg crossing, the pointing knee, pigeon toes, neck touching, head tilt, shoulder shrugs, rotation of the pelvis, showing wrist, skirt hike, laughing and smiling, the tap, forehead bow, eye contact, touching, childlike playfulness and proximity.

The Rule of Four

The rule of four states that in order to be sure that another person is unequivocally displaying non-verbal sexual interest, four separate positive signals must be present simultaneously and they must be directed at you. A person who is simply sexually aroused might display one or a great variety of cues, but they might be generally directed toward a room and not at anyone specifically.
So, as the first paragraph reads... Just about anything a woman does represents interest. Interest in what is the question

Apparently, the twisting of one's nipples (from the original text in this thread) is not on this list. Hmmmm, maybe someone with Wikipedia editorial functions may want to edit the text accordingly

Re: What is flirting?????????

Hello to all!

Well, I personally think, being Colombian and "latina", that flirting depends very much in the culture of the other person. I like to flirt but not with the intention of having something with someone or with my friends. It is just part of our culture; the women to be "coqueta" (flirting), it is how we interact, at least in Colombia and more when you come from the Coast. It is also because in my country people touch more in the sense that we like to be closer, our 'personal perimete' is just closer than here in Europe. I don't know about swiss girls, but in my case, I set the limit of my space and maybe because we have "experience" in identifying "Macho" attitudes we know how to set the limits.

Cheers,

Tatiana

Re: What is flirting?????????

Just read this thread.....intriguing stuff!!

Head tilting?? Oh God, I do that all the time without being fully aware of it.

Eyebrow flashing is another clue.

But the nicest - and most obvious - thing is when you look deep into someone else's eyes and see their pupils almost bursting open (probably yours too)

Wow, is that great!!
