Sheesh, she eats chocolate and she still isn't big.

I need to lose weight! Lucky, getting a grip on my life again should help in this regard, but then there's also better diet, more exercise and all that.........

How stop losing weight...it's annoying. And, I am tired of avocados and nuts, other heavy stuff.
Find out if there is an underlying cause that is either suppressing your appetite or causing some sort of malabsorption of the stuff you do eat.

Causes of the former could include stress, smoking or just a too-big workload.
Causes of the latter include coeliac disease.

Yeah, stress and too much to do is a moot for a decently paced metabolism, I need to slow down. Weigh myself down a bit.

Speaking of which, today's special pearl of random curiosity, more philosophical than not:

Do we live faster than before?

Re: Place your Random question HERE... :)

so, is there some secret to making pumpkin pie?

I loosely followed a pumpkin pie recipe (made my own lactose free condensed milk) and the raw mixture was d.e.l.i.c.i.o.u.s. I thought i've really cracked it now!

It didnt taste nearly as nice after it came out of the oven.

Is this normal?

I find making lots of attempts to perfecting a gluten free, lactose free nutella recipe keeps the weight up.

Sometimes things are less sweet and less spiced after baking. I made a pumpkin custard with the sugar drastically reduced. Tasted fine before baking, but after......ugh.

Apparently, it can happen like that. Did it taste very bland after baking, or like you couldn't find the pumpkin almost at all?

A quick Google seems to suggest, however, that it primarily comes down to which pumpkin you use. Some varieties of pumpkin are better than others for recipes like pumpkin pie. A typical pumpkin used for carving out jack-o-lanterns, apparently, are not good ones.

the pumkin was great baked (I baked it to reduce some of the moisture so the flavour would be more intense),

It was this pumpkin,

i'd definitely buy again to just eat baked, it was very sweet, dense, and intense, i dont know if it made a difference but it had been 'curing' (read didnt feel like cooking) in my bathroom (kitchen is tiny) for a couple of weeks.

i was trying to find a picture and came accross this swiss site with pumpkin seeds, who knew you could get so many different types of butternut pumpkins!

That's a butternut squash, not a pumpkin!

And, it's much less sweet than a sugar pumpkin, so requires, MORE, not less, sugar!

I've just fallen in love with this car! What a survivor!

I've invested money into Toyota Australia for about a decade (2017 they'll close down the factory there, what a mistake) and I'm well pleased they put it to darn good use.
