Nothing wrong with it grammatically if you take the colon into account but if you just read it straight as one sentence then what Porsch said.

So the title should be "The importance of correct punctuation"

Good joke nonetheless!

And one for the French speakers.

Very much in the news today- as the new simplified French grammar rules have been published. Apparently the ^circonflex is no longer necessary- and there have been plenty of examples on FB and elsewhere about why it should definitely remain.

But the above examples make little sense as the basic French is just not correct at all

One could argue that the line is not grammatically correct with the colon because "The Joy of giving" is not a complete sentence.

Not grammatically correct, but nevertheless French "as she is spoke" by many of the masses -- i.e. you'll often here constructs like this in slang.

Nor does it need to be. All that's needed prior to the colon is a clause.

"Rome: was it built in one day?"

or, of course,

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens".

(It's more the use of a complete sentence after the colon that aggravates some grammaristi. )

Re: The importance of correct grammar

Here is official news that have leaked from the French language school ...

End of the circumflex? Changes in French spelling cause uproar
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-35496893

What's next? Will they also remove Umlaut from Grrman language?
I, for one, already started somewhat enjoying all those ü ä in daily use
