I prefer a modified version which I left on my boss's desk:
"The joy of leaving: I'm off to holidays with SBB" |

Good joke nonetheless! |

Apparently the ^circonflex is no longer necessary- and there have been plenty of examples on FB and elsewhere about why it should definitely remain.
But the above examples make little sense as the basic French is just not correct at all |

One could argue that the line is not grammatically correct with the colon because "The Joy of giving" is not a complete sentence.

All that's needed prior to the colon is a clause.
"Rome: was it built in one day?"
or, of course,
"Star Wars: The Force Awakens".
(It's more the use of a complete sentence after the colon that aggravates some grammaristi. )

Here is official news that have leaked from the French language school ...
End of the circumflex? Changes in French spelling cause uproar http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-35496893
What's next? Will they also remove Umlaut from Grrman language?
I, for one, already started somewhat enjoying all those ü ä in daily use |
