Macbook problem with Facebook

I am having a problem when I go on Facebook - I must say that it does not happen on my OHs page or my business page. Everything else I go on is fine and I have loads of spare space.

I am having a rainbow spinning disk and on reading up on this was advised to log onto the activity monitor. Under the Safari web content my problem is that the CPU is 100.6% - 2.07 GB.

Has anyone else had this? Everything just freezes - as I said, every other page I go on is fine - it just happens to me on FB

Re: Macbook problem with Facebook

Mine seems fine today .. But yesterday it was giving me the spinning beachball on Facebook and another couple of pages.

I was in a hurry, trying to get an address of where we were going skiing so i just used Chrome instead.. And I've still been too lazy to look into it properly since it's working now.

But since you mention it, i notice i have an Apple update waiting to install, also i think just yesterday it started complaining that Flash was out of date, plus i think Java updated recently .. Wouldn't think any of these should directly affect a Facebook page, but might be a starting point.

Yes, it is normal. Use Chrome or a non-Mac computer

Re: Macbook problem with Facebook

Does the problem persist after removing Facebook-related data (cookies etc.) in Safari? Sometimes some good clean-up can be very helpful...

Emmeti - I have not removed any Facebook cookies - this has only started the last couple of days and is only on my personal FB account and on the same computer when I go on my OH and business page - it is not a problem.

( Just been looking at a helpline and someone had it when they clicked on photos on FB. I think it is happening after I have clicked on photos that friends have posted)
