V. exciting it for Leicester tomorrow
Very exciting day .... of course!
Wish I was there, in my adoptive UK town, Leicester- as Richard III is finally buried at the Cathedral after a procession from Bosworth Field where he died on 22nd August 1485, killed by Henry VII - and his body thrown in the river Soar.
The last of the Plantagenet- killed by Henry the VII, first of the Tudor dinasty- event which marked the end of the famour 'War of the Roses'.
On Channel 4 tonight, 9pm UK time- a film about the Princes in the Tower. Was Richard III the culprit- or more likey Henry the VII ambitious mother, Margaret Beaufort?
