Re: Self-improvement books - discussion

Oh, unfortunately I am not selling books, but only looking for something to read in free time.

But placing titles of the books won't be treated as an advertisement, will be?

Shouldn't you start by telling us what you need improving?

Cellulitis, smoking, self confidence?

How to write an introduction?

The main interests are self-organisation (something like Getting Things Done) and self-confidence improvement.

I had one whose basic premise was "Don't do today what you can do tomorrow".

I haven't got round to reading it yet.

Who needs self confidence, when you can troll the internet anonymously, hiding behind a silly name and picture?

You can improve your self-confidence by adding a witty avatar to your profile.

Re: Self-improvement books - discussion

There was quite an interesting programme about such books on the BBC's Thinking Allowed. TA is a sociology programme and sometimes it's even too lefty for me. Often I find it insufferably smug, but Laurie Taylor is a genial presenter and frequently it makes me look at things in a different light, which I suppose, is the raison d'etre of sociology.
