LOL, yes. I live here 10 years and still have to take out the manual two times a year to set the clock on the cooking stove
I shall not move until I know how to do it by heart

Just take a diamond scriber and transcribe the instructions onto the glass front.

Just using old thread instead of starting a new one. It's called reviving a necroed thread. And the thread title does say 2015 in it.

Absolutely. So while you're at it on 28th/Sunday 29th October 2017 you can change the year too

Medea didn't bother with a new thread, she has a time travel tardis type thingy and dates/years confuse her.

Just know it's the last Saturday of October for fallback, and the year doesn't matter

Is that so? I didn't know that. Cheers.
(Is there such a simple rule in spring as well?)

Yes, in spring you move the clocks forward an hour.

And for those of you who have lost the instruction manuals for your appliances, just wait until 11:59 the following day then pull the main breaker in your house. Turn the power back on at exactly 12:00.

At midnight, dis and re-connect your car battery.

Not possible after this length of time - I just tried. Only a mod could change it now.

Yes, there is. The rule is the last Sunday in March and the last Sunday in October technically speaking since they change on Sunday morning. So next year the clocks will go forward on Sunday, 25th March and back again on Sunday, October 28th. And don't say you weren't warned in good time!

Re: Clocks go back Saturday 24th/Sunday 25th October 2015

History:

The last country in Europe to adopt summer time, in 1981, was Switzerland, despite the fact the summer time was rejected in a federal voting in 1977 by 52.1% of voters. Since 1996 Swiss summer time follows EU regulations.

I was up an hour earlier than planned because my DAB radio clock didn't switch over.
