Re: Gossip about British Television Shows, Soaps and Series

Sonia reported the two evil bullies to the headmistress, but Becks asked her not to report Louise. Backs and Louise bonded (slightly) over some seedlings.
The bullies are now turning their attention to Louise, though she hasn't noticed yet.
Donna has moved in with Ben and Jay.
Shirley has sold the freehold of the Vic by forging Mick's signature so she can afford Lady Di's op.
There is a new barman at the Vic (Lee from 'Blue') who seems to have his eye on Whitney (who is as annoying as ever).
Can't think of anything else.

Not the actual Vic, just the freehold, but Max persuaded her, saying the company who is buying it won't affect the Carter's running of the pub.
However........dub dub dub dub dub dub, da da da da da da daaaaahhh...

Thank you for your lengthy reply. It seems we stipped watching at the same time. It's the next weeks plot l need catching up on.
I thought it was Me-chelle that moved in with the boys. Notice how she is Mi-chelle now? Only Dot has called her Me-chelle like back in the 80's.
So what happened after Easter?
No idea what from my list was before/after Easter was I only got back a couple of days ago myself!
I was away from the 12-22 and I definitely missed some of that stuff.

There was no mention of 'chelle in the catch-ups I read but I see others are now joining in, so we can discover the rest together!

Re: Gossip about British Television Shows, Soaps and Series

Michelle has been a bit quiet this week.
Oh forgot to say, Kim, hubby, Denice and what's his face are planning to go away to a villa in Spain, and Carmel invited herself along when she'd had a few.
Hopefully they will forget to bring Kim back with them.

Re: Gossip about British Television Shows, Soaps and Series

Yay good to see this works even when I am not around! You are the best, Ladies!!

I am happy to report that GENE HUNT is back on our screens via DRAMA Channel, which is re-airing LIFE ON MARS (the first series, playing in the 70's)

And furthermore, Stephanie Cole, another actress I admire very much, is also backon our screens on the same channel, in her role as feisty and acerbic Diana Trent in WAITING FOR GOD.

At the moment I prefer to watch these series and a few others over EE, it is getting a tad on my wick and the new producer hasn't done anything at all to make it interesting again.

Nope; Sonia eventually finds her and Dot gets carted off in an ambulance.
Cue a single bed hospital room, eternally patient nursing staff with time to chat, proper meals (as opposed to the dry sandwiches every other NHS patient gets fir lunch and dinner these days), etc.

Re: Gossip about British Television Shows, Soaps and Series

Here I am again: )

I actually know that Dot has renewed her contract so she'll be around a bit longer.
Other good News are that John Yorke is taking over ad interim as producer, as the other incapable one has been let go....cough cough.

Robbie Jackson is back on the Square....hmmmmm... why is the traditional dimwit and twat extraordinaire suddenly so smart and worldwise ??

I am all for ppl bettering oneselves and advancing in life through studies etc...but he was always a hapless idiot thru' and thru' and THIS change now is not believable. I hope they bring Wellard II back at least to make it more bearable.

That was my thought, too, but I just put it down to me not having watched it since the end of May...

Well I think they must have saved up all the crazy drama to show in this one episode, just for you.

Re: Gossip about British Television Shows, Soaps and Series

I know.... I know, same here .......this is thew work of the useless former producer, who lukily only had a short stint on EE and look what a mess he made!!
John Yorke (who was 1A Producer already many years a long time ago) has already taken over, but as the Soap is filmed 3 months in advance he has not much room to change a lot of what already has been filmed, but we should see EE get back to normal (not me, I'll remain a crazy old bat :P) within the next 4 weeks.

Re: Gossip about British Television Shows, Soaps and Series

Well well well..... who‘d have thunk it.... EE (the soap) is on the up again with a gripping storyline.... I am looking foward to the unfolding of it all.

And my 2nd fave show Holby is spoiling me this week with two eps.

Simple pleasures for simple EE (EF’s) mind ;-)

Re: Gossip about British Television Shows, Soaps and Series

Everyone is raving about the QUEEN film, Bohemian Rhapsody, which I want to go and see myself too! That goes without saying!

Proud I am that, the film being such a blockbuster there are three connections to my fave soap!!

Ben Hardy who plays Roger Taylor, used to play on EE the last casting incarnation, Ian Beale's son Peter (now allegedly living in NZ)

Ace Bhatty, who plays Freddie's Dad in the film, played Zainab Masood's first hubby in the soap.

And a bit far fetched, another relation to QUEEN...Brian May is married to Anita Dobson, who played the marvellous, long suffering Angie Watts. My fave landlady of the vic. Closely followed by Peggy 'GETOUTTAMYPUB' Mitchell.
