| | Where to get an original Persian rug fixed?
Parties tend to get wild, things out of hand...the ceiling mounted swing unhooks, or was in the chandelier? I don't remember correctly, it's all a big blurr. Either way, damage has already been done and I need to get an original Persian rug fixed. Can anybody recommend a decent place where they specialize in fixing original rugs?
I'm not looking for the random google search, I'd rather receive a recommendation to a shop where you or your neighbor or somebody you know had a frist hand experience with the services provided. Thank you!

I know a place near Lugano, my wife recently spent 1800 have some carpets cleaned/repaired.
(we also have another that he said wasn't worth it)
The guy knows his shit, and would be happy to give a free estimate.

I have lost contact with my ex-girl friend, she used to work for Vidal when they were in the Zurich Bahnhofstrasse. I visited their shop and workshops, and they were repairing Oriental carpets in the Bahnhofstrasse. They have since moved around the corner, into another shop. I think you will be shocked at their prices, but at least if you take the carpet to them they can give you a quote.
I don't think the repair work is particularly skillful, it just needs someone that knows what they are doing. In other words, I think any carpet repair shop could do the job, but I am sure after you talk with the Vidal employee, you will be in a better position to understand the scale of the work needed. https://tel.local.ch/en/d/Zurich/800...e&where=Zurich

Kentucky? I thought KY was referring to the lubricant.

It wasn't exactly cheap, but they did a good job, and cleaned it as well. The other rug we brought they said to forget as the backing was so far gone that it would mean making a whole new rug from scratch.
