More recently he was in Coronation Street - great actor - I really liked him in Hustle too.
What a year - lost so many in TV & Music...

He died of leukemia. It's not a war.

My mother's family were dry cleaners/tailors. Used to wish their store fronted secret agents.....

Leukemia can be survived. It's a war.

Thankfully, treatments are more effective all the time, a good thing. But more and more people treated for cancers of all kinds are turning away from militaristic language.

Sorry for the detour.

Robert Vaughn also had a PhD, and studied the holywood blacklist. Cool.

Better tell the Channel 4 newsroom then as that's how they described it: Lost his battle with leukemia.

Change happens slowly. Just because chanel 4 uses it doesn't mean it's appropriate.

One of my pals acted with him on Hustle. Apparently he was a great person, many funny and filthy stories.

So did the BBC and his manager:

"The actor died after a battle with acute leukaemia, his manager, Matthew Sullivan, told the BBC."

Still have a chance to see him again in a couple of new projects.

"Vaughn had only recently finished two projects - an appearance on Law and Order: SVU, and a starring role in the upcoming film Gold Star, about a young woman caring for her dying father."
