Re: Looking for entertainment from YOU ;-P ;-P

I'm afraid I can't supply anything entertaining. I can only feel your pain. I went head first down the stairs & the crepi on the wall bears some of my DNA still (cue read repainting the place thread when moving out to remove blood & forehead splatters). Broke my wrist & was covered in bruises + concussion.. that's what they said when I finally went in to the permanence the day after (on the bus). Thought it was rather sore . My suggestion is always have a woolly hat on hand to cover up the fact that you're missing part of your scalp & are bleeding.

Oh no, EE...! Sending best wishes and a careful hug.

Take up crochet? Or devise pattetns? I need a rose pattern.... and a wedding garter pattern. The things I get asked to make... 😀 I've been fiddling around with narrow hooks and lace till I'm quite cross-eyed...

And... go!

I always refused to knit because to me it meant making the fabric.... and then having to sew it together.
Changed my mind a few years ago as ill-health meant I was stuck in bed for several weeks (some of that flat on my back in the local hospital), and I could only read for fairly short periods because of the headaches. I would have gone round the bend without something to occupy my hands. Totally addicted now of course.
But it might be worth a try?
PS; Eastenders just started on the beeb!!!!!

they changed the meds yesterday and today for the first time since it happened on tuesday ,there is not much pain! As luck would've it I am looked after by a kind of Nurse Ratchett, grrmmpf, today i misbehaved and just grabbed the Wheelchair and looked after myself in regards to look clean😉

He he he, the look on that harpys face when I said, no thanks all done by myself don't need 'your' help.

one of the nice nurses gave me an extension cord , coz the battery of my phone runs out within a few hours now,so i can frequently check in here and chat on messenger.... so not bored..... yet.
I am already on the third book of that bag o'books I got too😉😃

Had a scheduled operation once and brought 15 books. Surgeon looked surprised and asked me how long I intended to stay? 5 days at most :-)

Nothing better to keep your mind off things than reading and reading!

Perhaps he was the person thrown under the Square's bus?
Yesterday's episode was pretty dull, lots of panicking and general angst, but all the main characters have seemingly escaped with just minor scratches and bruises..... so it seems to a total non-disaster and yet again the scriptwriters have missed a golden opportunity to explore some real stories.
One 'mystery' body taken from under the bus at the end of the episode (definitely not Uncle Bernard, don't worry!), but the only people I could think of yesterday that no one's mentioned were Lauren and Derek. Glenda maybe? Doubt Linda's come back from Spain unexpectedly... Or there's Dot's grandson Charlie. All fairly minor though.

No episode tonight 'cos the footie's apparently more important.
Have a good weekend, glad to hear that the painkillers are finally working!!!

My thoughts exactly!!! Why even bother with the whole bus thing? Total wasted opportunity right there. Or are we missing something?

EE, I hope your hospital stay is a pleasant one and that you get out quickly.

I think the 'mystery' body was probably the bus driver so not a known character. I could be wrong though and there's an exciting twist in the storyline but with the scriptwriters they've got at the moment that seems pretty unlikely.

One of the female paramedics seemed unduly upsets for a person who wasn't in principle personally involved (she was standing outside the Vic rather than helping), and at some point someone in the pub (can't remember who exactly) said something about the possiblity of there being someone else under the bus.
The tarpaulin was being held by the place they found Martin not by the cab, so I don't think it's the bus driver.

Unless one of the minor injured suddenly takes a dramatic turn for the worse it's a non-story. And so unbelievable as in real-life there would have been several seriously hurt and maimed, if not killed.
Whoops, this should really be in EE's soaps thread.... we're supposed to be distracting her! And where's the usual silly Friday thread?????

All's fair in erhhhmm accidents and war or some such thing😉 keep on posting anything here, the other thread is read by the initated only anway and mist if them are here too😉

I-b-deborah 😘 thank you for the kind wishes! It may sound awful when I say it, but I actually enjoy getting brekkie in bed and I can read to my hearts content without getting a bad conscience any Hausfrau and mum knows about.

I can be a tad more relaxed now, we've organised a lot re.my girls and the Ex hubby allows me to ( as owner of the building he overrules the agency!) and will install a washing machine in our flat for three months, coz I won't be able to hobble down on crutches to the laundry room in the cellar, especially as in the beginning , I am not allowed for 6 weeks to put any pressure on the repaired foot.

we'll also see to buy in a Brocki or rent a wheelchair for me to be able to do some stuff in the flat too with my hands free😉

so the only worries i now have are the old ones of how to pay for all that I have to pay, Lizzie's doggie pension for at least 2 months, if not longer and other such stuff😩😩

You can listen to BBC Radio over the internet. I find Radio 4 and Radio 4 Extra particularly useful. You can also use iPlayer for radio, without needing any VPN.

E.g. the News Quiz: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b088jj6g

Or the Archers, which might be more in your line. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b08b7vcm
