Mystery Science Theatre 3000 (MST3K)

Since North Americans like me are a minority, it's probable that most people here don't know what the hell MST3K is about. It was a cult show that first aired on a Minnesota public access station before moving to Comedy Central and then the Sci-Fi/SyFy Network. The premise of the show was simple---a man is marooned in outer space on a bone-shaped satellite and forced to watch bad movies with two robots. The show lasted about a decade before eventually getting canned.

Anyway, the show is back, but there is a distinct difference. I can already hear you asking, "Why should I care about an American TV show that I'm not able to watch anyway?" Well, Joel Hodgson, the founder of MST3K launched a successaful Kickstarter campaign to bring the show back. (Disclaimer: I was one of the backers.) The new MST3K will be shown on Netflix this coming Friday, but not just in America and Canada, but in all English-speaking branches of Netflix, including the UK.

Now if none of the posters here have access to the UK Netflix, and Switzerland's Netflix doesn't have it, please accept my apologies and the moderators can delete this post. but if you do or Switzerland does, I hope you consider watching. The pilot episode will show the Danish film Reptilicus, which answers the following question---can Denmark make a giant monster movie just as crappy as the ones that come out of Japan? YES!!!
