Not sure if many have noticed with the latest iOS 11 (Even at current 11.0.3) there has been a key change that is pretty illogical. The inability to toggle off WiFi & Bluetooth from the control center. Instead, you must go into settings to actually switch either/both off thereby negating the utility of the control center in the first place. Surprised this has not yet been addressed in the patches
Here is a load of stuff that really sucks they tried to make it more like the Samsung. Make sure that all apps work with the update, some just disappear!

Don’t you just need to swipe up from the bottom of the screen and there in pretty colours are the wi-fi and Bluetooth toggle buttons??

I love the way that you write in the way that what you're saying is fact. Since the release of the iPhone and the Samsung Galaxy the generation releases have almost never aligned with each other e.g. iPhone 4 released in 2010, Samsung Galaxy S4 released 2013.

I don't think the model number itself is really of such great consequence. There never was an iPhone 2, for example, and Apple brought out the strange iPhone SE after the 6S Plus.

What is important to both Apple and Samsung is to be seen to be bringing out new, supposedly better (than the preceding iteration) models on a frequent basis, and in particular, to try to beat the other in introducing each new model. I don't think anyone cares whether it's the iPhone 9, X or Super-duper, just as long as there's something new. Same goes for Samsung, which usually doesn't introduce an intermediate model (à la iPhone 4S, 5S, 6S), but has upped its model number by one each time -- so if they produce more than one model in a year, Samsung is bound to end up with phones bearing a higher model number than the equivalent iPhone release.

It doesn't have to exactly align throughout the history, but there is no doubt that Samsung have been doing their best to keep pace with the iPhone and get ahead for some time now since Android software and the supporting hardware became advanced enough to do so. Consumers now see Samsung as the direct luxury high-end competitor to the iPhone, and that was certainly not always the case. As such, this equalization has meant that generational numbers have taken on more meaning for the manufacturers and the consumers alike and neither will allow themselves to fall far behind in the consumer race... hence why Samsung are now rushing to announce and release the S9 earlier than usual.
Further proof for you guys of Samsung doing their best to keep pace with the iPhone for marketing reasons...

It's definitely no coincidence.

On another note... this is horrendous!

iPhone X being assembled by Chinese interns under illegal working conditions https://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer...gally-in-china

According to the Financial Times, students from Zhengzhou Urban Rail Transit School - where they're training for railway-related occupations - were made to take part in the 'training scheme', and Foxconn subsequently confirmed that the law had been broken in allowing the students to work overtime.

Ms Yang, an 18-year-old student quoted by the publication, said that working 11-hour days wasn't exactly a choice, despite it officially being voluntary.

"If I don't stay I won't graduate school, but my body can't take it... My mum says if I can't stand it, maybe I can leave school and work with my dad."
What the living ****? FORCED to work in a sweat shop or they can't graduate?

I hope all of you iPhone X users are enjoying your new slave-labour phones!

Yes we are enjoying the phone, and will continue doing so.

Students volunteered to do overtime it seems, and got to Chinese standards compensated fairly for this, company policy however says interns should not be allowed to do overtime. Minor issue and only made important since it involves Apple.

As for any relationship between the schools and the factory, and students being forced to work there, or to work in general to get enough points for their education, and if Foxconn knew that these students were forced by their school to apply for jobs at their factory. I will make up my mind when more details are known.
