I'll take the CPE in 1 month, does anyone in the same situation want to practice?

Hi everyone, I'm from Argentina, my English is really really good, a professor told me that my English was pretty much that of a Proficient, still I would like to practice my Speaking with someone in the same situation as me I want to get used to the format of the Speaking part of the exam, I don't want to fail.

We can practice the Speaking part through some software that allows people to speak to each other (maybe Mumble?).

I have a lot of material, I have many Speakings to practice, that's not a problem.

Don't be shy and enjoy, we don't have to small talk and try to not be awkward, we are just going to practice by doing the exercises of the Speaking part.

I hope someone joins me, it would be great.

And if this post is not allowed here, please accept my apology and delete it.

I visited that website, but there's no place to try to contact people who are going to take the Proficiency exam.

Maybe I'm missing something, if you can enlighten me I will appreciate it.

Well, this is a forum in Switzerland?

AndresM,
Welcome! Many people on this forum are of English mother-tongue. Those people are, of course, not in need of exams in English proficienty. This forum was set up by and for English-speakers in Switzerland.

Even so, it is fine that you ask your question here. There are many other users on this forum whose mother-tongue is not English, and maybe one of those will be glad to practice speaking English with you, so you can both practice.

Also, have a look in this part of the forum: Language Corner https://www.englishforum.ch/language-corner/.
There, you might find someone who is learning a language you already speak, and with whom you could arrange a so-called "tandem" learning exchange.

Re: I'll take the CPE in 1 month, does anyone in the same situation want to practice?

It doesn't happen so often these days, but students of English used to stumble on englishforum.ch quite frequently, having confused it with englishforum.com.

To the OP: you are very welcome here, but this is a forum for English speakers living in or connected to Switzerland. If complaints about bad manners on the Zurich urban transit network, the lack of brown sugar in Lausanne, or the sound of cowbells and the smell of manure in Schwyz are of interest to you, then you'll love it here.

Otherwise you might have more joy on a forum dedicated to fellow students of English, such as the aforementioned englishforum.com

Good luck with your exam, either way!

Thank you all for the answers.

I thought this forum was like a way for Swiss citizens to practice their English while talking about things.

It seems I was wrong, though I will try to find someone where Doropiz has recommended me to go.

By the way, you have a beautiful country. I hope one day I can visit it.

Thanks for the chocolate.

Goodbye.

It's a reasonable mistake to make - it has a somewhat ambiguous name!

As I said, you're very welcome to stick around. You might not get exactly what you're looking for, but you'll get to read plenty of English as she is wrote, for good or ill.
