RIP Rodney Bewes

The loveliest Likely Lad passed yesterday aged 79.

I met him a few times as a kid. He was a good friend of my nan's from his local rep theatre days, and always called round for afternoon tea when he was in the area. This tweet says it all for me...

Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads - a show all about lost times - has now sent every 70s kid down a rabbit hole of reminiscence... #RodneyBewes

And I love this 'story' of how he claimed Jimmy Hendrix played on 'The Likely Lads' theme tune...or did he? https://www.thepoke.co.uk/2017/11/21...ds-theme-tune/
