The bang thing from xmas crackers - seen them?

Ok i know christmas crackers are not really a thing here... We can find them but they are either crap or expensive or both..

But anybody seen the little bang strip to buy? Maybe they have some other purpose so might be somewhere? Fancy trying to make our own..

What would they even be called ??

They're called cracker snaps.
I've never seen them for sale here and you may have left it too late to order them online.

My mum always used to make her own crackers.

Mmmm... sending explosives, cross border by post.

What's not to like?

Ian

Ps. My grandpa used to always carry a cardboard template in his wallet, so if he ever saw a suitable gift he could check if it would fit in a cracker. Happy days with him making hundreds of christmas crackers each year for friends and family.

Along same lines as you .. Yeah I thought about deconstructing some 9mm ammunition and using the powder but how many snaps do you make from one shell... Do we run the risk of having a cracker explode and killing somebody with a plastic moustache and a party hat!

I have seen big bags of party poppers for pretty cheap .. Even those are much more powerful than cracker snaps, the crackers might end up like confetti.

COOP have big bags, like 50 pieces .. I think they are branded "happy new year" They also have big versions, like 30cm high and 10cm wide. When you pop them they eject piles of candy or little toys or other messy crap.
