Wow, just a short summer storms knocked power off in the hospital.... 
I actually liked it  I had been waiting for such a display for quite some while now  ...  
Did your area also get hit by such summery storms?

Hell no! Better not because I plan to play tennis today and just saw the wind coming towards Baden with thunderstorm clouds. Hope they be postponed till next week  |

That storm came out of nowhere and disappeared almost as quickly.
Unfortunately I was at work at the time and unable to watch as I would do back in Australia (i.e. on the balcony with a coldy)

This is what I would expect on a hot summery day...a late day thundershower to cool things down for a comfy sleep at night...
Edit: seems like round two is on its way, me hear thunder already

Hi! I've been here in Dübendorf for 1 1/2 month and I was wondering...is summer always as these days? I mean, do they specifically ask for rainy days in the weekend? I really want to go out and do a little sightseeing, but with this rain I get a little lazy....
....and all this suddenly storms made my head hurts...sotrm-headaches I call them...anyway it is very impressive to see how the weather can change all of a sudden round here...

I was 10 minutes into a bike ride along the Rhein when the storms hit. No raincoat or shelter to be found. I have never seen anything like it and have certainly not been caught in a storm like that. The wind was so strong that it sent tables and chairs flying and me and my new bike were left covered from head to toe in grit and dirt as well as being soaking wet.
