Re: iPhone application recommendations

Not an application but a request for whether anyone has experienced this. iPhone looks to have some liquid damage on connector only the indicator has turned orange (iPhone 4S). Have got AppleCare but Apple website says as soon as the Liquid Damage Indicator has switched to Orange warranty is no longer applicable.

Firstly, does anyone have any experience of whether there is a chance they will still replace it because Apple are known for good service or do they stick to the letter of the law (would be geneva branch) ?

Assuming it is out of warranty damage as they put it does anyone know the fixed charge in switzerland for replacing a water damaged connector dock is ? Alternatively can anyone recommend third parties in Switzerland who would do this work. Im almost certain its just the connector there is no water damage to the internals of the phone.

thanks

Re: iPhone application recommendations

We had a technician over the other day who needed to test the water temperature. He pulled out his iPhone and plugged a prob into it and tested the water. Worked like a charm. The basic unit was CHF 50 at Distrelec.

Product (they offer several versions): http://www.icelsius.com/

Available in CH via: http://www.icelsius.com/icelsius_dis...ry=Switzerland

I can't seem to find it on Distrelec any more but it was there the other day. Maybe a computer issue.
