OMG!! That brings back such memories for me. I wasn't born there either but went there with my family too. It was THE place for a birthday lobster dinner for my sister and brother (I hated lobster because of the green stuff inside). I loved it because it was new and shiny - at the time - and had plate glass windows. That and Valle's steak house. They were my answer to Durgin-Park, which to my 7-year-old mind was fusty and old and creepy because you had to sit at tables with people you didn't know, and you heard noise from the kitchen. Guess what my go-to seafood restaurant in Boston is now? Thanks for the blast from the past, Grynch!

Re: Postcards from your birth place

Yes, I lived for two years in Framingham and then another 6 years in Newton, Mass. I moved when I was about 13. My daughter now goes to college in Boston, so further opportunities to go to D-P! I'll post a postcard of my city of birth later on today.

Gaah, overlooked that post. Legal Seafoods, now a chain, and not a cheap one. And Anthony's Pier 4! Liked that place even though it was in the historic section, because it was on a boat ... or on a pier anyway. Felt like a boat though.
