Back in the early 90's, we lived in London in a small street on the outskirts of Chelsea - Seymour Walk (just by Chelsea and Westminster Hospital). In any event, Seymour Walk was a dead end street. One morning while taking a walk with my newborn in his pram, I see a ragged/dishelved looking man and a truck heading down our street. I approach the man, and say, "Please do not take the large box outside our house; that is for a friend of mine. I thought you would come later as you usually do." And he, who I later learned was Albert Finney, chuckled and said, "Good heavens! Did you think I was the rubbish man? Well, you absolutely MADE my day!"
And he then proceeded to play with my son!
A tennis friend from Queens told me that he/Albert Finney was living with Penny Delmage and she/they lived on our street/Seymour Walk.
What a great actor and a really nice gentleman! He will be missed
