There's an obit on PistonHeads followed by reader comments, the second of which (HAYNES MANUAL - THE REAL MEANINGS) I found most amusing.


There was a time when I had a copy for whatever car/van/bike I was using. So thank you Mr Haynes! But with modern stuff, I'm not sure what I'd be capable of doing.


I must have passed the museum in Sparkford twenty times but always in a hurry and never stopped. Next time, I really must.

I didn't bring my collection with me when I emigrated, but I had about 20
Haynes manuals iirc.
