Smartphone blocks arrow in Australia

You do not get that in Switzerland ...

Australian man blocks arrow with mobile phone http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-47563634

Mobile phones truly can be life savers - especially, it seems, when an arrow is hurtling towards you.

Re: Smartphone blocks arrow in Australia

Would you aim the arrow for the head or the body?

I think he didn't really block it as such, instead the shooter hit his target.

That’s even more scary how precisely they can shoot.

So much for the trend toward larger but thinner phones... there's definitely something to be said for the mobiles of yore!

Also, the screen protector was poorly designed. It was smashed, but so too was the display. Its designers clearly didn't give any thought to the possibility of a blow to the rear of the screen protector.

I think you'll find that the fond vagueness has more to do with Nimbin than with age.

That's TobiasM's point, of course.

Not very clearly, though, if you spent enough time in Nimbin.

Almost as good as the Bible blocking a bullet tales from various wars ... the real question is whether he managed to record video of the shot - that would be even more awesome (especially if he could retrieve the video now ...).
