Perhaps you're just a mean person

Re: Schadenfreude

in my younger days we used to hang out in a car park on an industrial estate with other motor heads, one of the guys had a 'trick' of stuffing fireworks in his exhaust pipe and driving around until they randomly went off.

One evening he did his thing, pulled out onto the main road and stopped at lights, just as a police car pulled up behind him, he knew it was coming, we knew it was coming, everyone was watching and waiting, lights go green, pull away slowly praying, god was having none of that and the police car got showered with fireworks, oh how we all laughed as he was karted away.

That's actually not very funny.

We had a really nice Icelandic girl on this forum a while ago, her name was Begga. https://www.englishforum.ch/members/9607-begga.html

To my understanding her bike wheel got stuck in a tram line in Basel (?) and she fell off and was killed by a tram

Not really so funny after all is it ?

I never said I always would laugh at all of them. But feel free to twist or misunderstand what I type.

Also such a weird posting. So since somebody had a serious accident we're not allowed anymore to laugh at others? So never laughing again at people having a funny fall while skiing, iceskating, running, etc... your world must be a boring one.

Actually, as I recall a cement mixer who did a RH and didn't see her, or so said the police report.

As i said or implied, it involved a nice girl and a bicycle and falling off, the exact details i have since forgotten, but hardly a laughing matter

And I never said I laughed at it, or would laugh at this.

You can get angry, you can give me bad rep and telling me to piss off in messages, but what you really should do is improve your ability to understand what you read.

As I recall, she was hit by the truck and knocked down, she didn't fall off first.
