Has anyone asked Jupiter?
Funny how Nasa think they run the show. |

Honestly, it never made it off my list of planets. I denied the declassification as it seemed so discriminatory.
Is NASA going to publish a ruling about the ring around Uranus next?

In my opinion, NASA can say whatever it wants. The "new" planet definition (it's well over 10 years old by now) came from the IAU, the International Astronomical Union, which itself is a part of the International Science Council (headquartered in France). The US is only 1 of the 100+ members of the IAU.
Edit: I read the article, and then about the NASA administrator that said "Just so you know, in my view, Pluto is a planet. And you can write that the NASA Administrator declared Pluto a planet once again. I’m sticking by that, it’s the way I learned it, and I’m committed to it”. This man holds a business degree, has 0 scientific education, and used to be a climate-change denier (apparently he recently changed his stance). So I guess it's a bit of a facetious poll?

We’d be pretentious to believe we’re the only planet with living organisms wouldn’t we?
I don’t believe they’d want to visit us though.

It's fine. They all live too far away to visit.

Falsely qualified as a planet in the beginning and they corrected that later.
They can't come up with a classification that would make Pluto a planet while excluding all other objects in the Kuiper belt like Eris and the moons in our system.
So if Pluto is a planet we should also recognise other objects as planets which we don't so Pluto ain't a planet and never has been.
