R.I.P. Neil Peart

https://www.rollingstone.com/music/m...ituary-936221/

Neil Peart, the drummer and lyricist for Rush, died Tuesday, January 7th, in Santa Monica, California at age 67. The cause was brain cancer, which he had been quietly battling for three years, according to Elliot Mintz, a spokesperson for the Peart family. A representative for the band confirmed the news to Rolling Stone.

R.I.P. o great one. You'll be missed.

Rush, Kiss and Van Halen - This is what we all listened to as kids in our neighborhood.

What a legend.

Re: R.I.P. Neil Peart

So sad to hear this, I first heard Rush at uni when bunking off to play pool, someone put Passage to Bangkok on the jukebox and I was hooked, I bought 2112 and it transformed for me what rock music could be. I read that 2112 was going to be the end of Rush, their record company wasn't happy with their musical approach and wanted something more commercial so the band decided "f**k it we'll go out on our own terms" and made the album they wanted.

By all accounts he was a genuinely nice guy too.

R.I.P. thanks for all the music.
