| | The boring Sunday afternoon thread
So what does one do on a boring Sunday afternoon?
The day started off dull and grey and dismal and I started off with the lurgy and the collywobbles, not the dreaded lurgy, just the normal tickle-in-the-back-of-throat-cough-and-snot lurgy.
It got a bit better along with the weather, but by then it was one and I had had all the netflix I could eat and all the dozing I can doze on the couch here in my one room pokey hole under the roof in a one horse village where I would not want to be found hanging dead over the fence if my life were normal.
Now itīt half past two and I am wondering if it is too early to bah humbug this Sunday, to crack a beer and resign myself to a few mind-numbing hours on Facebook and youtube before the local pub THE local pub opens.

Well for a while I entertained the idea of lighting the blue paper and firing my ass off to the gym, but the paper must be damp from all the sniffles and I graduated to watching DUST shorts on youtube and writing bad stream of consciousness on EF.
How am I doing so far?
Still havnīt cracked a beer but amma gearing up to that bit.
Also looking forward to tonights tea. I marinated a pork collar steak in oil, thick black soya sauce, balsamic vinegar, garlic, salt īn pepper and some hot stuff I found in a bag. Going to do a teriyaki something.

I usually take my dog on a walk in the forest on Sundays, today was no different. Or it's a hobby day, probably study and practice more German in the evening after I make my own pizza dinner. |

That cooking plan sounds great. So does the gym..I am taking it easy after intense travels, love slow Sundays. Knitting a scarf, thinking of more research projects. Listened to thunder a while back. Watch Uncle Buck. It is awesome.

Well, skipping the gym was a good call, the lurgy has ramped up the gain to gas mark "8" and the beer is starting to taste like stewed sock and flopsweat. Also I am acutely aware that tomorrow is first off to the Ausländeramt to get a Aufenthaltstitel, (I demand an apology from everybody who voted to leave) and I need to score a new (limited) contract from the company afterwards.
Shoots getting real guys and gals.

Beautiful spring like weather in ZH this morning. A walk along the river into the city, I had to take my jacket off, just T Shirt (wish I had worn shorts actually). Then meet some friends in town, a couple of beers and a slow walk back along the river to home.
Sorry, it really wasn't boring!

We usually go on a hike each Saturday and Sunday with our dog and try to explore new areas around Zurich. Today we went back behind Zurich University and through Neumarkt through the Niederdorf to HB. It was so lovely outside that we decided to go further than normal and walk behind the HB through Josephstrasse and back to the newly built areas surround Silhlquai (Google et al).
Interesting to see how that part of the city has been developed! I think getting outdoors is a lovely antidote to "boring Sundays" |

Normally I would fire up Smokey the Honda and ride off somewhere, especially if the landlord and his brood are at home, today they were out and it was peaceful.
Unlike the days when the kids kick off at eight in the morning with mild violence before graduating to medieval torture with all the recreational screaming their little lungs can muster.

Our landlord lives above us and she happens to have an annoying boyfriend who wakes up at the crack of dawn and stomps around the space above us...ughh!
Thankfully, he was not "in town" this weekend and we were able to sleep in!
Just hoping (selfishly!) that this is a short lived romance |

| | | | | It could be worst, they could be spending the early mornings bonking, or is that what you mean by stomping?

Skied round to les Crozets, thence into Avoriaz, lunch at the top of Mossettes, then back home to Morgins around 3.
Boring? No, never.

Urrrgh! Lurgy ramped up to "10" on the richter-scale, it is starting to deserve the "dreaded" prefix. My eyes are getting sticky, coughing is like trying to hack up a brick, beer tastes like piss, ears feel like they are full of gunk and I my groans sound like Chewbacca being hot waxed.
Gonna be fun tomorrow proving that itīs the lurgy and not Corona.
