Not sure if it is longer than usually..but 18hr work days are wearing us out. And the constant technology thing, too. Humans are not exactly made to exist and function only virtually, it is a certain special fatigue and understimulation that technology induces.
Constant technology I can handle - I'd just like a bit more involving two wheels and petrol

There is a great type of a smartass and an annoying type of a smartass.

Awww. It is ok. We all have something to work on.

I think the month seems long to me because I can't really cook fresh food and whatever I feel like. I don't like stocking up much. Only books, instruments and yarn. Fabrics. Wodden stamps...fountain pens, hair bands, bass guitar picks, travel sets of paints..kickboxing shorts, plants, wodden spoons..the usual stuff.

Thanks, that's made me smile . How big was the boat?
Patrol boats tend to be small usually say a crew of 40 to 100. But it does not matter how big it is, you just can't be wandering around the boat because you will get in the way of other sailors who are working... your personal space is your bunk and once you get in and draw the curtain, it's like your own little coffin.

One funny side though is that you start to rate your mates based on their choice of reading material.. you get to know that certain people always have interesting books you can borrow where as other are completely useless.

I'm sure all the doctors and nurses and people with loved ones in the hospital on ventilators feel the same.

Re: longest month

I had to wait until the 31st to add another year to my vintage - I’d like to say it has enhanced my “flavour”, in the bigger picture of life March 2020 has been one of personal growth and humbled hopes

It's March 31st. Personal matters aside, I cannot remember a longer month in my life. I'm in my mid 40s and come from a relatively wealthy part of the UK that has been at peace since the English Civil War, so I'm lucky in that I haven't experienced conflict or economic depression or upheaval or famine or natural disaster.

April is 30 days. Will it seem even longer than March this year?
Just wait until we get to July...
