Happy Thanksgiving

To any Americans out there... Wishing all of you a happy Thanksgiving!

Since it is just the two of us (my husband and I), I asked my OH what he wanted me to make for the holiday and go figure he said: Mexican pulled pork or pork carnitas...lol! So that is what we are having tomorrow evening in lieu of turkey. I found some tortillas/jalapenos at a local Mexican shop and I found pork shoulder at our local Coop. Win/win as I won't be slaving over the stove all afternoon Thank God for slow cookers...

We will have a "proper" Thanksgiving turkey when we go back to the US for Christmas.

Hope all you Efers enjoy Thanksgiving, Hanukah, Christmas and New Years! Happy holidays!

Let's hope 2021 is better than 2020...

Re: Happy Thanksgiving

Happy thanksgiving Terri! we used to celebrate with our American friends when we lived in Singapore (and actually a mix of international expats too)
I thought it was a wonderful thing to celebrate even if one wasn't American . We loved the experience so much we even re-created a "faux thanksgiving" for our Swiss family and friends last december when we were back visiting - introducing them to canned pumpkin pie was quite a challenge but everyone loved it.

Re: Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Holidays to you too, Terri!

As for Thanksgiving Day, I think it's a wonderful tradition. Have been invited to a few. Do keep it up, even if it's just you and your OH!
