Just when you think stupid can't get any worse... https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/...224305425.html
I can't figure out where this belongs: complaints corner? funnies? health & beauty?

Quite honestly, I felt sorry for her. Sure the initial reaction was, "okay, that's stupid", but sometimes even non-stupid people do stupid things. (Although I'm not saying she's non-stupid...)
Apparently it's all been fixed now. Some LA doctor gave her a $12,000 dollar operation for free.

I read a comment that she should get an contract for an ad campaign for Gorilla glue. Certainly, as she says: "It don't move!".
Wow, that must be painful, and I feel sorry for her.

I'm sorry, but I think you have to be pretty damn stupid to knowingly put Gorilla glue in your hair and then to act shocked that you can't wash it out. This was done by a grown woman -- not a five-year old.
(And I don't feel bad for writing that here because I highly doubt that she will see this comment). Why Did She Use Gorilla Glue In Her Hair? In an interview with Entertainment Tonight's Melicia Johnson, Brown explained that she resorted to Gorilla Glue in a pinch, as she was in a rush to leave her house. She figured that once she got back home, she'd be able to wash it out—but that wasn't the case. |

The lady is in talks with her lawyers... No doubt the argument will be - info on the package didn't mention hair.
Ah, sometimes I lose faith in the future of the humanity, when silly people do things like this....

This is a 40 year old woman who was so vain and stupid that she put superglue on her hair as a styling product. Why should I feel any sympathy?

Why should I feel any sympathy? | | | | | Because we all do something, somewhere, that is just plain stupid. This is one particularly silly action that could never happen to me, and from the sound of it never to you, but I've sure had my own share of doing totally, ridiculously ,foolish things, of which some had no consequences at all, in retrospect, and some really hurt, at least at the time, and some even for quite a while, and I had only myself to blame. Besides, however really foolish her decision was, she now knows that, and she's in pain. That gets my sympathy.
Of course, if she does manage to land a lucrative advertising contract with Gorilla Glue, then my sympathy can just settle down into a smile and a head-shake at the madness of the world.

Ah, sometimes I lose faith in the future of the humanity, when silly people do things like this.... | | | | | Well, Gorilla did tweet this: https://twitter.com/GorillaGlue/stat...60682771509248
and oh, dear, you're right, it doesn't explicitly mention hair.
I still think that Gorilla should offer her a ad campaign. "It don't move!": best slogan ever.

And now this woman is trying to capitalize upon the incident and is basically 'eating up' all the attention that it's brought her. Imagine that.
Woman who sprayed hair with Gorilla Glue now selling her own “Bonded for Life” merchandise https://www.klfy.com/louisiana/woman...e-merchandise/
"The Louisiana woman who went viral for putting Gorilla Glue spray in her hair — which required a four-hour surgery to remove — is taking advantage of her notoriety by selling a new line of merchandise.
Tessica Brown’s Tessicamerch.com is now live and is selling T-shirts, hoodies and sweatpants branded with “Bonded for Life.”
Brown had also set up a GoFundMe page to help pay for her medical expenses. As of Feb. 12, she had raised $22,375 from over 1,400 donors."

yes, do some silly stuff, do talk shows, get a big sack, do ads, fill the sack with money.
Good job the lady is not working in a lab with test tubes full of viral samples - she'd cause an Armageddon... or is she?... |

That's interesting...because I read a story this morning wherein she pledged to give all that GoFundMe money (minus, of course, travel, emergency room fees, etc.) to a charity. I guess she didn't want to look bad by pocketing that in addition to her free doctor's procedure. I wonder if the IRS will be interested in the value of THAT donation to her--you can bet the Dr. is expecting some notoriety and claiming an IRS deduction on his end. The thlot pickens.

I'll admit I was initially amused by the story until I saw the videos of her crying because her scalp was burning (as her sister tried different things to remove the glue). I then felt very sorry for her. We've all done stupid things that we wouldn't want to be ridiculed for if it came to light. This lady was desperate to get the glue out after one month of having it in her hair. She told her story publicly because she needed help. If she hadn't gone public, it might still be in her hair now. I can't find humour in someone else's suffering. I'm not built like that.

And similarly the hair grown sufficiently that you could cut the glued bits out without hurting the skin. Or does the glue deep bond into deeper layers of skin?
