MyHeritage--raising the dead

This has to be one of the creepiest things I've seen lately.I haven't tried it--I'd be scared to. Mark Twain is particularly realistic.

Using current input and an old photo with their deepfake tool, you can "reanimate" your loved ones. I've not used this website; they are one of many ancestry-tracing sites. Anyone tried this? (Apologies for citing the Fail.)

Scared of what? I don't get it - what's creepy about it? It's just a way of making old photos look a bit more realistic, after all, like colourising and/or resampling them for better definition.

I think it would be very disturbing to see someone whose loss I've struggled with move and look at me again...It's OK when it's an historic figure.

So don't do it?

It's the same as anything personal related to loss - some people find it helpful to go over it, look at photos, visit grave / important places. Others would rather forget it. This is just another option for those on the first end of the scale.
