NFT (non fungible token)

What else people will come up with nowadays ... tokenizing the air we breath and every minute of our lives we live

What are NFTs and why are some worth millions? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-56371912

Maybe mods should tokenize the very first tweet on the EF

NFTs Non-fungible tokens

Anyone interested in these? What a concept.

I had some dealings with Takung Art Co Ltd recently and the idea of tokenising Art, Music, Literature and everything creative is mind-blowing

I’m particularly happy for the younger people to be able to own/learn about the cultural past when we’re dead and buried, and that maybe all existing physical art, etc will live forever (?) it seems, if it is digitised.
There was even a meme Disaster Girl that sold for $500,000!

Many Musicians/Artists might also be able to rely on this income too instead of the diabolical royalties they get now from streaming, especially as income from gigs dried up during the pandemic.

My first experience of tokens was winning the £2 jackpot on (I think) MKII “JPM Each Way Shuffle” 1980 fruit machine.

Had to exchange them at the bar for drinks. Still got me 4 or 5 pints of Landlord.

Times change 😳
